About
Grain records meetings and keeps their notes, transcripts and clips, along with deals and coaching scorecards for teams that use it on sales calls. A thread can read your meetings, notes and transcripts and pull action items out of them. You see only the meetings your own Grain account can open.
Grain is not consistent about which plans include it. Its announcement says all users and its blog says any plan, but its plans page lists the advanced MCP server under Business and says Free has no API access, so on Free it may not connect.

Frequently asked questions
- What is a Connector?
- A Connector is a remote MCP server that a third party runs and Marvin Labs knows how to reach. Marvin Labs supplies the endpoint and the setup; you bring your own Grain account. Once added, AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents call its tools when a question needs them, and the answer shows which tool was called and what it returned.
- Does the Grain Connector require authentication?
- Yes. Adding Grain opens its sign-in window, where you approve access with your own Grain account. Marvin Labs never sees your password; Grain issues a token you can revoke on its side at any time.
- Does Grain change how financial data is sourced?
- No. When a question can be answered from the filings, earnings calls, and press releases Marvin Labs ingests through Automated Data Import, it answers from those. Grain is used only when a question needs data those documents do not carry, and the answer attributes that output to it.
- Where is Grain available?
- In both AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents. Its tools stay out of the model's context until a request needs one, so an unused Connector takes up no context window.
