About

YCharts holds data on 100,000 securities with more than 4,000 metrics. Connected here, it lets the assistant create, change and pull real-time data for your model portfolios, including asset allocation, CAGR, correlation and historical performance. It can also search more than 300,000 economic indicators, read your watchlists, and produce PDF reports from templates you have saved in YCharts.

It suits advisors and allocators who already build portfolios and proposals in YCharts, because the thread works on those same portfolios and templates. What each person can read follows their own YCharts entitlements.

You need a YCharts subscription. YCharts quotes its plans rather than publishing prices, and its free trial asks for no credit card. Click Add and sign in with your YCharts account when the window opens.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Connector?
A Connector is a remote MCP server that a third party runs and Marvin Labs knows how to reach. Marvin Labs supplies the endpoint and the setup; you bring your own YCharts account. Once added, AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents call its tools when a question needs them, and the answer shows which tool was called and what it returned.
Does the YCharts Connector require authentication?
Yes. Adding YCharts opens its sign-in window, where you approve access with your own YCharts account. Marvin Labs never sees your password; YCharts issues a token you can revoke on its side at any time.
Does YCharts change how financial data is sourced?
No. When a question can be answered from the filings, earnings calls, and press releases Marvin Labs ingests through Automated Data Import, it answers from those. YCharts is used only when a question needs data those documents do not carry, and the answer attributes that output to it.
Where is YCharts available?
In both AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents. Its tools stay out of the model's context until a request needs one, so an unused Connector takes up no context window.
