About
MSCI's data is its indexes and the analytics around them: benchmark data, index analytics and portfolio insights across public markets and private equity, real estate, infrastructure and private credit, drawn from Index Intel, Total Plan Manager and Private Capital Intel. It is what places a company or a fund against the benchmark it is judged on, with the data lineage attached to every figure. What you can read follows your MSCI products.
You need MSCI credentials. Click Add, sign in with them when the window opens and give consent. There is no API key to find.

- What is a Connector?
- A Connector is a remote MCP server that a third party runs and Marvin Labs knows how to reach. Marvin Labs supplies the endpoint and the setup; you bring your own MSCI account. Once added, AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents call its tools when a question needs them, and the answer shows which tool was called and what it returned.
- Does the MSCI Connector require authentication?
- Yes. Adding MSCI opens its sign-in window, where you approve access with your own MSCI account. Marvin Labs never sees your password; MSCI issues a token you can revoke on its side at any time.
- Does MSCI change how financial data is sourced?
- No. When a question can be answered from the filings, earnings calls, and press releases Marvin Labs ingests through Automated Data Import, it answers from those. MSCI is used only when a question needs data those documents do not carry, and the answer attributes that output to it.
- Where is MSCI available?
- In both AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents. Its tools stay out of the model's context until a request needs one, so an unused Connector takes up no context window.
