About

GovInfo is the U.S. Government Publishing Office's official system for federal publications. This connector carries the bills: the full text of federal legislation, searchable, for reading what a bill actually says when a company's filing or call points at pending legislation. Bills only; the Federal Register, the CFR and the Congressional Record are in the same system but not here.

Nothing to set up. Marvin Labs runs this connector and holds its credentials, so it is on unless you turn it off under Connectors in settings. Supply your own api.data.gov key if you would rather not share the request budget. It is free and issued instantly.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Connector?
A Connector is an MCP server that Marvin Labs runs and authenticates. There is no URL to paste and no key to find: GovInfo is on for your account unless you turn it off. AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents call its tools when a question needs them, and the answer shows which tool was called and what it returned.
Does the GovInfo Connector require authentication?
No. Marvin Labs holds the GovInfo credentials and signs every request, so there is nothing to set up. You can add your own GovInfo key under Connectors in settings to get your own rate limit instead of the shared one. It does not change which data the Connector returns.
Does GovInfo change how financial data is sourced?
No. When a question can be answered from the filings, earnings calls, and press releases Marvin Labs ingests through Automated Data Import, it answers from those. GovInfo is used only when a question needs data those documents do not carry, and the answer attributes that output to it.
Where is GovInfo available?
In both AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents. Its tools stay out of the model's context until a request needs one, so an unused Connector takes up no context window.
