About
ClinicalTrials.gov is the U.S. National Library of Medicine's registry of clinical studies, where sponsors must register most trials of drugs, biologics and devices. For a biotech or pharma name, this is the pipeline as the sponsor registered it: each trial's phase, status, conditions and enrolment, plus the primary completion date that sets when results are due. Open a trial for its design, endpoints and any posted results.
Trials are matched to sponsors by name, so ones run by a partner or subsidiary can be missed. Estimated dates are the sponsor's own projection, and they move often.

Frequently asked questions
- What is a Connector?
- A Connector is an MCP server that Marvin Labs runs and authenticates. There is no URL to paste and no key to find: ClinicalTrials.gov is on for your account unless you turn it off. AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents call its tools when a question needs them, and the answer shows which tool was called and what it returned.
- Does the ClinicalTrials.gov Connector require authentication?
- No. Marvin Labs holds the ClinicalTrials.gov credentials and signs every request, so there is nothing to set up.
- Does ClinicalTrials.gov change how financial data is sourced?
- No. When a question can be answered from the filings, earnings calls, and press releases Marvin Labs ingests through Automated Data Import, it answers from those. ClinicalTrials.gov is used only when a question needs data those documents do not carry, and the answer attributes that output to it.
- Where is ClinicalTrials.gov available?
- In both AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents. Its tools stay out of the model's context until a request needs one, so an unused Connector takes up no context window.
