Company and Data Coverage

Updated Jun 24, 2026

Marvin Labs covers what a company itself publishes: filings, earnings calls, press releases, and investor-relations materials. We do not cover what other people say about a company. This page is the reference for which companies are covered, what we hold for each, and how to add companies that are not yet in your plan. This is the primary content that every feature reads from, including AI Analyst Chat, Deep Research Agents, Guidance Tracking, and Sentiment Analysis.

Documents we cover

For a covered company, the target is everything management put out. We ingest the primary, company-issued content, including:

  • Annual and quarterly filings (10-K, 10-Q, and their amendments)
  • Current reports (8-K) and their exhibits
  • Earnings call transcripts, prepared remarks and Q&A. Where a human-reviewed transcript exists we use it over the auto-generated one, so the text you query matches what was said
  • Earnings press releases and earnings decks
  • Regulatory press releases and other regulated information
  • Investor-relations page content: annual reports, key figures, governance documents, general-meeting materials, and webcasts
  • Select investor conferences and investor days, such as JPM Healthcare, Morgan Stanley Tech, and Goldman Sachs Internet, alongside major public events such as WWDC, Build, and GTC

Each source is ingested, transcribed where needed, and ready to query within minutes of publication, so your coverage stays current through earnings season.

Documents we exclude

We exclude content that does not come from the company itself:

  • Marketing blogs and promotional press releases, unless filed with regulators
  • Financial media such as Bloomberg, CNBC, and the Financial Times
  • Social media such as X, Reddit, and StockTwits
  • Third-party analyst research

We cover what management said under a regulatory obligation to communicate fairly, not commentary about the company from anyone else. Two reasons drive this. Primary sources are where the accountable statements live: guidance, results, and strategy come from the company, and the company can be held to them. Third-party coverage is also top-heavy. Outside a subset of consumer brands and widely traded names, most companies generate too little media or social content to draw conclusions from, so a model fed on it would cover large caps well and niche names badly.
