Egnyte's data is your firm's own documents and knowledge bases, as held in your Egnyte domain, so internal memos and diligence files can sit beside public filings in a thread. Every request honours the permissions, roles and folder-level controls already set in Egnyte, content never leaves Egnyte's control, and connecting grants nothing you could not already open.
You need an Egnyte account on a plan with the MCP server: Essential, Elite or Ultimate, or Platform Enterprise or Enterprise Lite with the AI add-on. Click Add and sign in when the window opens.

- What is a Connector?
- A Connector is a remote MCP server that a third party runs and Marvin Labs knows how to reach. Marvin Labs supplies the endpoint and the setup; you bring your own Egnyte account. Once added, AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents call its tools when a question needs them, and the answer shows which tool was called and what it returned.
- Does the Egnyte Connector require authentication?
- Yes. Adding Egnyte opens its sign-in window, where you approve access with your own Egnyte account. Marvin Labs never sees your password; Egnyte issues a token you can revoke on its side at any time.
- Does Egnyte change how financial data is sourced?
- No. When a question can be answered from the filings, earnings calls, and press releases Marvin Labs ingests through Automated Data Import, it answers from those. Egnyte is used only when a question needs data those documents do not carry, and the answer attributes that output to it.
- Where is Egnyte available?
- In both AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents. Its tools stay out of the model's context until a request needs one, so an unused Connector takes up no context window.
