About
Moody's data is its credit ratings and the research behind them: an entity's current rating and outlook, the drivers behind an upgrade or downgrade, and Moody's research library. It gives an issuer's credit standing in the rating agency's own words rather than inferred from the equity. Coverage follows your Moody's entitlements.
You need Moody's credentials authorized for the MCP server. Click Add and sign in on Moody's authentication page when it opens. There is no API key to find.
Frequently asked questions
- What is a Connector?
- A Connector is a remote MCP server that a third party runs and Marvin Labs knows how to reach. Marvin Labs supplies the endpoint and the setup; you bring your own Moody's account. Once added, AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents call its tools when a question needs them, and the answer shows which tool was called and what it returned.
- Does the Moody's Connector require authentication?
- Yes. Adding Moody's opens its sign-in window, where you approve access with your own Moody's account. Marvin Labs never sees your password; Moody's issues a token you can revoke on its side at any time.
- Does Moody's change how financial data is sourced?
- No. When a question can be answered from the filings, earnings calls, and press releases Marvin Labs ingests through Automated Data Import, it answers from those. Moody's is used only when a question needs data those documents do not carry, and the answer attributes that output to it.
- Where is Moody's available?
- In both AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents. Its tools stay out of the model's context until a request needs one, so an unused Connector takes up no context window.
